Ontario’s minimum wage increase is also boosting incomes, which could help buyer confidence. 

The federal budget brings more housing incentives, but most support new builds, not resale. Investors are also eyeing the higher capital gains tax coming Jan 1, 2026, which will reduce profits on secondary property sales.

Economists are split on where rates go next:
📉 some expect one more cut soon
⚠️ others anticipate a pause or even an increase in 2026 if inflation heats back up

Overall? A slow, uneven recovery.
